Charles Van Canneyt, was born in 1987 in Ghent, Belgium. After completing his studies at Sint-Lucas School of Architecture and obtaining an M.A. in Architectural Management & Design at the IE Business School, he gained valuable professional experience working alongside international design leaders such as Claudio Silvestrin, Vincent Van Duysen and Axel Vervoordt. With a tri-lingual background and experience working on international projects, he founded his own company in 2019, specializing in high-end residential projects in Belgium and abroad.

Charles brings a calm and intuitive approach to his work, enriched by a profound love for contemporary art, mid-century design, and antiques. Guided by values of warmth and serenity, he aims to create spaces and objects characterized by a timeless and elegant simplicity. His vision explores the emotional connection between space and experience, emphasizing the importance of proportion, materials and form. With a keen eye for detail, he strives to achieve a delicate balance between art, architecture, interiors and design.

Grounded in a highly personalized approach, every project begins by interpreting the client’s needs and translating them into spaces that exude harmony and intimacy. Channeling intuition and iteration in his practice, he adopts an experimental mindset, with research and analysis integral to the design journey. Each project reflects Charles’ commitment to the intense pursuit of beauty and the belief that architecture is a form of art that demands dedication and creative freedom. From overarching gestures to the smallest details, Charles dedicates substantial time to his signature blend of timeless appeal and elegant simplicity.
